ChatGPT from Indonesia: try GoPay first, then a virtual card

Last updated · MPChat Team

OpenAI states GoPay support for ChatGPT payments in Indonesia. If the digital wallet doesn't appear at checkout, an MP virtual card can be a card alternative.

Quick summary

  • OpenAI Help lists GoPay as a payment method for ChatGPT Go/Plus/Pro in Indonesia; try it on the website first.
  • If GoPay doesn't appear or fails, an MP virtual card can be filled in as a regular card on the subscription page.
  • Claude only accepts cards; GPN is not Visa/Mastercard.

What often causes failures in Indonesia

  • GPN debit cards can't be used for overseas subscriptions because the network is domestic.
  • GoPay/DANA/OVO work for some services, but they don't fill card forms at Claude, ad dashboards, or a US Apple ID.
  • Indonesian bank Visa/Mastercard cards need online international transactions enabled; 3DS/OTP often fails.

Register in the App, complete verification, activate MP Card

Check GoPay support on chatgpt.com
Open the ChatGPT subscription page in a browser. If GoPay is listed as a payment method for your account, follow the on-screen instructions. OpenAI Help mentions GoPay support for Go/Plus/Pro in Indonesia.

If you need a card, download MPChat and verify
Download MPChat, sign up, and complete identity verification in the app. The virtual card is issued in the App, not on this site.

Top up MP Wallet with USDC/USDT
In the App, top up MP Wallet with a supported stablecoin (USDC or USDT). At transaction time, supported assets are automatically converted to the local currency.

Activate the virtual card and fill it in on the subscription page
Copy the card number from the App and paste it into the ChatGPT payment form. Don't send card numbers to Telegram groups.

Reminders

ChatGPT.com already accepts GoPay; no need to force a card if GoPay is available.

Virtual card fees and limits are shown in the App and at help.mp.net; this site doesn't list rates.

Don't retry the card many times in a short period, as it may trigger additional checks.

FAQ

Can GoPay be used for all ChatGPT plans?

OpenAI Help mentions GoPay is supported for Go, Plus, and Pro on chatgpt.com for Indonesia. Availability can change; follow the official payment page.

Is an MP virtual card guaranteed to succeed?

There is no guarantee of success. A virtual card only provides a card number that can be filled in; the decision remains with the merchant.

Can I use USDC/USDT to pay merchants directly?

No. This card is not a crypto payment tool at merchants. You top up the balance in the App, then shop with the card.
